Connect a coding agent to Minnas
Let Codex or another MCP-capable coding agent configure Minnas from the app it already understands. You approve one Workspace, and you can revoke the connection anytime.
Before you start
Open your coding agent in the project you want to connect. The agent needs to support remote MCP servers and browser-based authorization. You will also need an active Minnas Workspace that you own, or you can create one when Minnas asks you to sign in.
Give your coding agent this prompt
Paste this into the coding agent while it has your app open:
https://minnas.ai/skills/minnas-setup/SKILL.md
Connect to https://minnas.ai/mcp, inspect this app, and configure its Minnas Workspace. Install Messenger, run the relevant tests, and deploy only if I have already authorized deployment.
Your coding tool should open Minnas in a browser. Sign in or create an account, choose one Workspace, review the listed capabilities, and select Approve setup.
What happens after approval
- 1The agent inspects your app. It uses the product language, public routes, colors, policies, and deployment setup already in the project. It should not invent prices, refunds, availability, or other promises.
- 2It configures one Workspace. That can include business details, branding, Messenger copy, page-aware prompts, knowledge-base answers, Guided flows, and the automatic AI reply setting.
- 3It installs Messenger. The agent adds the Workspace script to your shared page layout and runs the relevant application tests.
- 4Minnas verifies the live site. After an authorized deployment, Minnas checks for the exact script before approving each website hostname.
The connection can
- Configure Workspace details and branding
- Set up Messenger prompts and Guided flows
- Create and publish help answers
- Install and verify the Messenger script
- Turn automatic AI replies on or off
The connection cannot
- Read Inbox conversations or Customers
- Manage Teammates or billing
- Connect Shopify, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce
- Reveal saved provider credentials
- Deploy your app without your authorization
Review or revoke the connection
In your Workspace, open Settings, then Connected coding agents. You can see which tool connected and revoke access immediately. A revoked connection can no longer inspect or change the Workspace setup.
Troubleshooting
The approval page did not open
Ask the coding agent to connect to https://minnas.ai/mcp as a remote MCP server. If the tool does not support remote MCP or browser authorization, it cannot use this connection yet.
My Workspace is not listed
Only active Workspaces you own can approve coding-agent setup. Ask the current owner to connect the agent or make you the owner first.
Website verification failed
Deploy the exact Messenger script returned for that Workspace, then verify every public hostname separately. For example, example.com and www.example.com need separate checks.
The agent wants a Minnas password or API key
Stop. The supported connection uses the browser approval flow and should not ask you to paste your Minnas password or a saved provider credential into the chat.
Ready to hand off the setup?
Create a Workspace, then return to your coding agent with the prompt above. You approve the connection. It handles the setup work.
